Hi interwebs! I just started hooping three days ago, and I'm going to do my very best to document my progress. For those of you who don't know what hooping is go here.
I know that I've only been doing it for a few days, but I'm already in love with it! The day that my hoop came in I could barely even keep the hoop up, and now it's nearly effortless! I practiced for three hours yesterday and I woke up this morning with a verrrrry sore and achy abdomen, I could hardly move!! It's a little frustrating when I let people try out my hoop, and they're just naturally good at it, but I'm trying to stay positive and not compare myself to others. My goal is to be able to chest hoop comfortably by the end of July. We'll see!
I named my hoop Lorelai, so from now on in my blog that's how I'll refer to my hoop. Go ahead and make fun. You're just jealous!
In non-hoop related news, my cat just had surgery to remove a hematoma on his ear caused by ear mites. I have had Zeke for 9 years, and he is my very best friend in the world. Yes, I'm one of those crazy pet owners that spoils their pets and talks about them like they're people. Zeke and I have a very special bond, and I was a little hysterical when I noticed that his ear looked like it was going to explode. But he had surgery yesterday, and he seems to be recovering just fine! He does look a little like Frankenkitty though.
